Located on Lake Winnipesaukee, the largest lake in New Hampshire, our stretch of shore line is a gateway to 274 islands, 200+ miles of shoreline and several shipwrecks. Here our certified staff will focus on building your sons water sports skills while exploring the surrounding coves and islands.
Our goal through this program is not only to teach your sons how to canoe and camp but rather through these activities instill in them confidence, courage, and a passion for the outdoors. While exploring the deep woods with skilled counselors, your sons will have the chance to develop their leadership and teamwork skills, learn the value of hard work, and even practice their cooking skills.
SAILING
Sailing instruction in Sunfish boats is available to campers of all ages.
SWIMMING
Campers from novice to expert swimmers enjoy Camp Tecumseh’s beautiful waterfront. Our staff of certified lifeguards and water safety instructors make this venue safe and fun throughout the day.
CANOEING & KAYAKING
Campers often take canoes or kayaks out to explore the many islands and inlets of Lake Winnepsaukee. Overnight canoe camping trips down the Moose River are a favorite activity. Several paddleboards are also available.
WATER POLO
Water polo is a new and popular sport enjoyed by many campers.
WATER SKIING, WAKEBOARDING & TUBING
Waterskiing, wakeboarding and tubing behind Tecumseh’s ski boats are some of the favorite activities on the waterfront.
WATER TRIPS
To supplement this, trips will head out on a regular basis to explore the shorelines and remaining 1/16th of New Hampshire that is covered by water. From day trips on nearby lakes to week long canoeing expeditions on the Moose River we will challenge your boys by removing them from this technologically rich world and teaching them the skills required to be self-sufficient in the woods of New England.
We are here to have fun and there is no better place to do that then on the waters that wind through the lands near Lake Winnipesaukee.
